With a passion for engaging with the local community and wanting to be involved in assisting people to continue and return to activities they love, Ronald pursued a career in physiotherapy and graduated from Curtin University.

After graduation, Ronald has been working in private sections of physiotherapy, community care, and aged care facilities.

With diverse experiences in managing acute and chronic conditions across all age groups, Ronald particularly loves to assist people with chronic pain and sports injury to help them return to a healthy lifestyle.

Born and raised in Hong Kong and pursued further study in Perth, Ronald is highly adaptive to different cultures. In fact, he speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin, apart from English. You can take advantage of Ronald's multi-lingual ability and communicate with him comfortably using your own language.

On top of physiotherapy, Ronald is now pursuing further study to become a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor He is already incorporating some ideas from Traditional Medicine into his physio practice, which can provide different perspectives in treating various conditions.

Having always had an interest in health science and fitness and with her love for working with people, Stephanie chose a career in physiotherapy so she could combine the two!

She completed her physiotherapy degree at Curtin University.

Stephanie really enjoys being able to use her knowledge to help people achieve their goals and return to doing the things they love. “It’s rewarding to educate people in making positive decisions and seeing life-changing results.”

Stephanie is the leading physiotherapist in women’s health, pregnancy and exercises. She has completed further education on management of issues along with pregnancy and exercise therapy incorporating Clinical Pilates. You would love to talk to Stephanie about the amazing (or sometimes not so glamorous but still fantastic) experience about your pregnancy and the time spending with your kids!

Stephanie is multilingual. She speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin and German.

Outside of her work, Stephanie enjoys playing and teaching piano, going to the beach and kayaking.

Sujatha(Suji) Sugumaran

Senior Physiotherapist



Sujatha Sugumaran (Suji) is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 14 years of expertise in the field. She joined Lionrocker Physio + Pilates in October 2024, after previously working at clinics in New Zealand and running her own physiotherapy practice in Auckland. Suji has built a strong reputation for her specialization in treating musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and general physiotherapy needs.

In addition to her core physiotherapy skills, Suji is an accredited Lymphoedema practitioner and holds certifications in Spinal Manipulation and Dry Needling, enhancing her ability to achieve optimal outcomes for her patients. She combines these modern techniques with traditional hands-on therapy to provide comprehensive care.

Suji earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in India before moving to New Zealand to further her career with tertiary education in Auckland. Her dedication to patient recovery and the many success stories from word-of-mouth referrals speak volumes about her expertise, professionalism, and compassionate approach to care.

Jason Au

Physiotherapist

Jason graduated in Bachelors of Physiotherapy at Curtin University.
He has a passionate interest in understanding and treating different musculoskeletal problems, and helping clients return to their hobbies and activities. This makes Jason pursue a career in physiotherapy. He particularly interest in treating sport injury, lower back and neck pain.

Jason is multilingual; he speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. You can choose one of the languages that make you feel comfortable while communicating with him. Jason is a warm and friendly physiotherapist who easily connects with clients from different cultural backgrounds, making you feel comfortable and understood. He also enjoys hands-on therapy.

Outside of his work, he enjoys fishing, playing badminton and playing basketball.

Walter Dino

Physiotherapist



Walter is a sports enthusiast born and raised in the Philippines. His love of sports has led him into a career as a physiotherapist. Walter has a special interest in treating sports injuries along with work-related conditions such as repetitive strain injury (RSL).

In addition, Walter has extensive experience in treatment and managing musculoskeletal conditions in his physio career

Outside of work, Walter enjoys playing basketball, skateboarding and surfing.

Edgar Tang

Physiotherapist



Edgar Tang is a distinguished physiotherapist with a robust academic and professional background. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 2004 and further advanced his expertise by obtaining a Master of Science in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2017.

With many years of experience in treating musculoskeletal pain, Edgar has honed his skills in providing effective, patient-centered care. His extensive knowledge and practical approach make him a trusted professional in the field.

Edgar is trilingual, proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which allows him to serve a diverse patient population and communicate effectively across different cultures.

Beyond his professional achievements, Edgar has a keen interest in soccer, reflecting his commitment to an active and healthy lifestyle. His personal motto, "Love is all around," underscores his compassionate approach to patient care, emphasizing empathy and understanding in his practice.

Gabby Boon

Physiotherapist



Gabby is a dedicated physiotherapist who earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Curtin University. With valuable experience in NSW specializing in workers' compensation and motor vehicle accident claims, Gabby also possesses extensive expertise in cardiac and respiratory post-operative care from her tenure at one of Perth’s leading private hospitals.

Gabby is particularly passionate about post-operative rehabilitation, women's health, and chronic pain relief. She firmly believes in patient-centered care as the cornerstone of effective therapy, emphasizing education and patient confidence to achieve optimal outcomes. Gabby highly values patient empowerment and strives to build respectful therapeutic relationships to support patients throughout their health journey.

Outside of work, Gabby maintains an active lifestyle, enjoying activities such as going to the gym, reading books, crocheting, and searching for the next best meal. Her dedication to both her professional and personal life reflects her commitment to holistic well-being and excellence in patient care.

Namgay Dorji

Physiotherapist



Namgay is a compassionate and highly skilled physiotherapist with a deep passion for helping people reach their full physical potential. He has a strong background in working with a variety of patients in hospitals, aged care facilities, and neuro-rehabilitation centers, where he has gained valuable experience treating a wide range of conditions. With this diverse experience, Namgay has learned how to approach each patient’s unique needs with care and understanding.

He believes in working closely with every patient to create personalized treatment plans. These plans don’t just focus on relieving pain but also on helping people regain strength, movement, and confidence in their bodies. Namgay takes the time to explain each condition and treatment clearly, making sure that his patients feel informed and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

In addition to his professional skills, Namgay is also multilingual. He speaks English, Dzongkha, Nepali, and Hindi, allowing him to communicate comfortably with patients who prefer these languages. Whether you speak English or feel more at ease speaking in Dzongkha, Nepali, or Hindi, Namgay is ready to assist you in a way that makes you feel most comfortable.

Ali Al Ramahi

Physiotherapist



Ali is an experienced physiotherapist with a specialization in lower limb rehabilitation. A graduate of La Trobe University, Ali has worked across various clinical settings, using advanced techniques such as dry needling, trigger point therapy, and joint manipulation. He also designs personalized exercise programs, sport rehabilitation plans, and performance training to help clients recover from injuries and improve their overall well-being.

Ali is a bilingual physiotherapist, fluent in both Arabic and English. With a strong background in athletics, Ali has participated in sports like sprinting, soccer, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and powerlifting. His personal involvement in these disciplines enhances his approach to sports rehabilitation, allowing him to apply firsthand knowledge and expertise when working with athletes.

Outside of his professional work, Ali enjoys a range of hobbies including gaming, reading, hiking, and practicing BJJ. His passion for both sports and lifelong learning is evident in everything he does, whether it's guiding clients through recovery or exploring new challenges in his personal time.

Melvin Wong



Melvin is a highly qualified podiatrist, holding a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Biomedicine from the University of Melbourne. With a diverse professional background that includes stints in private podiatry clinics, aged care, and retirement facilities, Melvin brings a wealth of experience to his practice.

His areas of expertise include the management of sporting injuries, biomechanical issues, ingrown toenail management, and preventative foot care for individuals of all ages and lifestyles. Committed to providing holistic care, Melvin prioritizes evidence-based practice in his approach to patient treatment and care. Additionally, he is proficient in performing minor procedures for ingrown toenails, ensuring comprehensive care for his patients.

Melvin's multicultural background, having been born in Malaysia, allows him to effectively communicate with patients in both Mandarin and English. Outside of his professional endeavors, Melvin enjoys spending quality time with his friends and family, as well as indulging in his passion for playing badminton.

Lucy Upton

Lucy has been involved in sports since a young age, whether it was cheerleading, dancing or gymnastics. With this came a lot of muscular pain and issues so massage and other manual heath therapies were always a must and became a point of interest for her.

Finishing her diploma in Remedial Massage, she found a way to help others with similar issues and takes great pride in what she has accomplished in such a short time practising.

Being able to help others to live their lives to the fullest and ensure their quality of life is improved is a very rewarding experience, and she wishes to continue that here at Lion Rocker Physio and Pilates.

Lucy likes hiking, camping, and bouldering in her free time and takes weekly dance classes.

Shizue(Suzy) Asif

Remedial Massage Therapist



Born and raised in Japan, Suzy made the life-changing decision to move to Australia with her family about ten years ago. Since then, they have called Perth home. Suzy completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage at the North Metropolitan TAFE, driven by a deep passion for helping people improve their physical conditions through the power of remedial massage.

Suzy's journey into remedial massage began with a personal experience of lower back pain. This challenge ignited a desire to learn and master techniques that could bring relief and enhance the well-being of others facing similar issues. Suzy firmly believes that a combination of exercise, stretching, and the application of appropriate massage techniques can significantly improve overall health and well-being.

In her free time, Suzy enjoys exploring the great outdoors through camping and trekking. These activities not only keep her active but also allow her to connect with nature and recharge. Playing tennis with her family is another favorite pastime, offering a perfect blend of fun and fitness.

By combining personal experiences with professional expertise, Suzy strives to help each individual achieve their health goals and lead a more comfortable, active life.
